Audrey

Hello my pets! I'm back!!! Sorry it's been a while since I posted anything up here but, this it's been a busy month and so therefore I apologize. This is my latest creation, this is princess Audrey just kidding. She is not a princess but the concept is there. I'll stop talking away and just cut to the chase. So lets get started.

As I said in the paragraph above, this is Audrey. Audrey is the queen of butterflies, in my mind she is. This dress is very over the top and really out there. I created a mesh top for a more glamorous feel I wanted Audrey to be very grand and out there. on the shoulders there's some bead work because rinestones are very dramatic and attract alot of attention. I wanted a very renissance/ baroque look to her so I gave her a little corset on the top with again a dramtic detail to her. I also gave Audrey a big ball gown cause I want her to look very queen like. Then theres the butterflies I love love love butterflies so I thought it would be fun to add some butterflies to look almost as if they were flying all around the dress. And once again what would my blog be without the great lesson and piece of wisdom that I have to offer. I wanted to use the color orange to associate it with joy. What's life without a pinch of joy. If you don't love your life you can't live your life the way you want to. You end up in a pit of unhappiness and I know that when you are having a hard time its hard to find happiness and go on with your life without being unhappy but we must always be greatful for all the good times that we have and be greatful for the people we have in our lives because in a split second their gone. Just sit and take the moment and just enjoy yourself and be happy and just carry on with your life. You are blessed even when you have nothing you are still blessed because you may have something that someone else doesn't have.

So I will leave you with some words by Dan Coppersmith "Be yourself. If you water yourself down to please people or to fit in or not to offend anyone, you lose the power, the passion, the freedom and the joy of being uniquely you. It's much easier to love yourself when you are being yourself." Be you boo. Do what makes you happy. Endulge yourself with passions. Most importantly don't let anyone take away your joy and happiness.

Lilian

Well Hello again! This is Lilian and she is what I like to call the ballerina dress. This dress is what my heart were to look like if it exploded. Lilian is short sassy and fun. I'm obsessed with this mauve purple. I love how unique and spontaneous Lilian is, and I just ran with what came to my mind.

I was inspired by ballet. When you see the beautiful ballets you see not only the beautiful scenery you also see the beautiful head turning costumes. Over the years since ballet was introduced the costumes have evolved from long tutus which covered the knees to shorter and shorter skirts so the ballerinas could show off their fancy foot work. I was inspired by the short  length tutu's because I thought it was beautiful and unique, plus, short dresses are now in trend as well as the tutu skirt. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to by a gorgeous tutu skirt at the stores because the whole ballerina look is whats hot now. Ballet has inspired many fashion designers from the bead work, to the tulle skirt, and the traditional ballet flat that has never gone out of trend. Ballet fashion is it this year and will always be a fashion statement for years to go on. I gave Lilian a beaded bodice because when you think of a ballerina costume you think of the glitz and glamour. remember dimonds are a girls  best friend ! This dress would look amazing on any woman who wears it. It will make you feel trendy and feminine. I used the mauve color for this dress because I wanted something different, I wanted to go a different direction in fashion. I wanted to bring the lilacs and the mauves and the plum purples back. Not that they ever left but I felt like I wanted to see more of it.

A little old saying goes, "Dancing is an art. The floor is my canvas. And I am the brush. And whatever I create comes from the heart." I use my work in mulitple different ways and I allow my pieces to be influenced by everything around me. Like dancing this is my art and it truely comes from the heart. Let your heart take you in the direction that you were meant to be, let your heart guide you to what inspires you and gives you brilliant ideas. Dancing isn't the only art, art is in everything your heart desires. Let your heart explode and let your creations and passions come from within. Do what makes you happy and you will live a happy life.

Scarlette

Hello! introducing Scarlette! She's my first wedding dress design ever. I know you wouldn't think so because of the color but I wanted something different, cool, and out there. When it comes to my little pretty dresses I'm all about my drama. I might even want my own future dress to have a pinch of drama. Anyways enough about me let's get on with talking about the dress.

Scarlette was inspired by my beautiful cousin Meagan. Meagan is getting married next year and I took it upon myself to design a dress for her. No this isn't her actual wedding dress but I got inspired by her and her fashion style and the idea that she is getting married. Since I started doing this dresss I also started designing more and more wedding dresses and who knows maybe one day we'll actually see it on a bride someday. Scarlette is a little conservative because my cousin Meagan's style is exactly that, ever since she's become a mom she choose a more conservative style which is why I gave Scarlette some long sleeves. I didn't make it too conservative though because I gave her a sexy mesh top because Meagan is still very young so I didn't want to hide any of her features. On Scarlette's sleeves there are random lace pieces on the outter parts of the sleeves because I also wanted her to be very danity as well. The top of dress also contains a  flower design so Scarlette can have a girly feel to her since Meagan's style is girly. I  added a brown belt with beading throught the belt because I liked the way neautrals looked on this dress I thought it was very complementary and neutrals tend to look good on every woman. Meagan is always a little more bold with her clothes so I decided to give her a big tulle ball gown with  a Tiffany blue color and beaded detail on the top of the skirt because it's all about the bling and who doesn't like the bling? I also decided to go with a Tiffany blue because I tried to tie in the idea of Tiffany's jewlery from one of my favorite movies ever Breakfast at Tiffany's where the main idea of the movie is all about new love. I really wanted to relate Scarlette with the idea of love because when you think about weddings it's about love, and family and I really wanted to make that a relation to my dresses. The idea of love and happiness is the whole reason why I started designing wedding dresses because I would want that for all of the future gal's who wear my dresses to be happy and feel beautiful on a special day where it's all about love.

So here's to all my wives, brides, and brides to be may your special day be perfect and remember, "Love is friendship that has caught on fire" Anonymous. Let the love and passion keep growing in your relationship and I hope your blessed with a beautiful life now and forever.
Dedicated to Meagan Rodriguez.
See you all Tomorrow.

Adalyn

Well Hello! Say howdy to Miss Adalyn. Looking at her is like magic to my eyes. I am captured and taken to a whole other world. I will use one word to describe this dress and it is ENCHANTED.

Let's jump into the inspiration of Adalyn. I was inspired by the the forest, I wanted to create a dress fit for a woodland princess which is why I used a forest green and some browns to cover the entire skirt. The top of the dress is a sweetheart neckline with rinestones that turn into an ombre effect that go from forest green to a brown. I wanted to add a magical touch to Adalyn therefore she was given a rinestone top with ombre to create the illusion that the dress is changing colors. The bottom is full of tulle of forest greens and browns. I did this because I wanted it to look like different colors once you moved around. This also took inspiration from the Cinderella movie 2015, because I was so in love with the way the gown took another color from the blue tulle to this greenish blue underneth as if it had some green silver undertones to the dress and I was obsessed with it after I saw the movie a million times. So I wanted Adalyn's skirt to have the same effect that Cinderella's dress had. I wanted to add rinestones scattered around the dress to give Adalyn a magical glow to her,  I wanted it to look natural as well because she is the woodland princess. I was also inspired by nature because I think nature is so beautiful and we can create something so amazing using earth's natural creations. I also wanted to use the woods because I know that some fairytales take place in the woods like snow white. The woods represents myth's and old folk tales. Once again I wanted the Enchanted feeling to it because I'm all about things enchanted. I wanted to take you to a different world today, I wanted to take you to the heart of my imagination. I wanted to take you to a place where there is mystery, magic, secret realtionships, love, belief, spirit, green meadows, intoxicating aroma's, branches full of mythical creatures like woodland fairies, lakes swamped with mermaids, colorful berries, and a haunting need to escape reality, and fall into fantasy were anything is impossiable. Whenever I feel down or whenever I feel like I'm having a bad day of some sort I feel the need to escape to my enchanted world in my mind which I go to whenever I begin drawing some sort of art work or some sort of dress because I live there whenever I get into my creative side. We live in reality but art takes us to another world in which we live in for a time being.

I will leave you with one final piece of advice today and that is you can control your own fate. So therefore, your reality is your choice, if you want to live in a fantasy world live in it, if you want to deal with reality  deal with it, but if you want to make your fanstsy a reality go for it. Your fate is in your hands and nobody should be allowed to tell you how your fate end up. Have an enchanted day, hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving. Ps. I will be giving you a little piece of my peacan pie next weekend because I will be giving you two desserts(dresses) on Friday and Saturday so I will be working extra hard on my next two blogs next week. Bye, Bye.

Hailey

Say HELLO to Hailey. Hailey was designed to be very Sexy. I wanted to give this dress a very sultry look. I think she is stunning and glamourous. Anyway continue reading below to see exactly what insipred me to draw up Hailey.

"La inspiracion existe, pero tiene que encontrate trabajando."- Pablo Picasso. I was influenced and inspired by my hispanic roots. Once again my culture  and family was the inspiration for my work. I always throught that Hispanic fashion was very sexy and beautiful. I was inspired by the Flamenco dancers because they always have such beautiful red flowers in their hair. I love that this dance uses flowers like the red rose to represent love. I believe love is so powerful that it can change everything and leads to great memories and paths. As a hispanic I know that we are very family oriented. Family is very important to us and how you represent your family is also important. Family is the source of love, because two people fell in love there is more love to spread around. I come from a very large family, I have 6 aunts on my moms side, and 11 aunts and uncles on my dads side. I have a total of 36 cousins not including the 6 great grandkids(second cousins). All of us are very close and visit each other on a daily basis. So it's odd if we all didn't see each other for years. This is why I incorperated the orange rose because to me it reminds me of the love I have for my very large family. I also loved the fact that flamenco dancing is like another form of ballet, and I thought i could relate. Ballet costumes are supposed to be very tight fitted to give off that put together feel of it, which is why I decided to make the dress very tight fitted to create the illusion that it's perfect and in place. Flamenco costuming contians frilly voluminous ruffles and I thought Hailey should be given that to add on the flamenco look. I also added web like rinestones all around the dance to capture the drama. I wanted to again use the gold color throught the dress to make it my own, and stray away from the orignal red flameco dress, I also believe that gold represents joy, richness, intellect, and energy. I wanted it to represent the joy of life and that we should celebrate it with family. I wanted the dress to represnt richness because we are rich with love. I also wanted it to represent intellect and energy because my grandpa always pushed the idea of a good education and good energy. As I said earlier family is love and family is very important, and to say the least we have joy, richness, intellect and good energy. When I was drawing Hailey I thought of my family members and every aspect that was put into this dress was inspired by them, I was brought joy by my grandparents who have given me a great and memorable childhood. I was wealthy with unconditional love by my parents, who taught me that money isn't everything and you should creish everything that is given to you no matter what. I was inpsired by the intellect of my cousins because they showed me that hard work pays off if you keep on going. And well the good energy is brought whenever I am around all these crazy people under one roof.

A spainsh saying goes, " A mal tiempo, buena cara." this means in bad times, hold your head up high. Look to your family and know that you can get through tough times together. Lift each other up with good spirits, and if you fail don't be dissappointed just keep going. Even though this summer we lost my beloved grandpa we are constantly lifting each other up and we keep going knowing he's up in the heavens watching our greatest accomplishments. So I say to you my dear readers appreciate your family and your family values before it's all gone.

Ariana

Today's star of the show is miss Ariana. What I love most about this dress is the color! This is my favorite color ever, pink! Not only is it just a pink it's cotton candy pink. Theres something so sweet about this color that just makes the dress adorable. I find this dress is along the dainty side. I named her Ariana because I felt like it was a very cute and feminine name, and feminine is exactly what this dress is about,

Ariana was inspired by the color pink. The whole dress revolved around this particular color because I was going for the softer look. I was also inspired by what the color pink represents. For one it represents friendship and I believe that friendships are important because they bring out that happiness inflicted upon us. Since pink represented friendships I thought of flowers and how they grow together in harmony, and in a way friendships are like flowers. You grow with your friends and then years go by and you have shared memories, then when your not looking you become a family. Thats why I placed flowers on the dress because of what the flowers represented to me. Pink also represents affection, and I drew a string of pearls on the top of the dress to give the idea that when your in love or in a strong friendship with someone you are strung together like a string of pearls. I gave Ariana a big ball gown because I felt like it was approachabe and pleasing to the eye. I added layers to the dress to give her a sweeter look. Ariana is like a giant cupcake she's sweet looking and it is always known for being cute and adorable. Ariana was styled in a girly way because pink is the offical color for girls and it represents the sugar and spice and everything nice. Kind of like being a power puff girl. This dress was inspired by girl power. Girls are supposed to be soft and sweet , nuturing , loving, and compassionate, I wanted Ariana to represent that. I feel like as women we are supposed to be empowering and strong in a feminine way. I'm not saying go be a girly girl I'm saying we should be strong and caring and do things through kindness. We should always be role models for other girls and inspire others to be kind and do great things. I think society now and days is always telling young girls, you need to be sexy to get a man's attention. However, I feel like we should be telling young girls that they're beautiful no matter what they look like and that they don't need to dress so skimpy to get attention. Why can't we reinforce the idea of intelligence, strength, and inner beauty? Why is society establishing small ideas into womens heads? Why are women always looked at as weak and fragile creatures? I say the hell with that idea. Ladies, you are smart, beautiful, and you can do whatever you want. You don't need to be sexy to turn heads, try being sexy smart. Don't let others control your idea of what you think is beautiful. If your friends have a small self-esteem use that girl power and tell them that society is ugly and she's beautiful, sexy, smart, and she has the power to do anything if she puts her mind to it. Spread the world and change lives. Be the pink ribbon in someone elses bow.

Anonymous says "Family isn't always blood. It's the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what." Love comes in all different packages. You shouldn't have to change yourself for anyone and always remember you are beautiful no matter what. I deicate this post to my bestfriends, my second family, and the loves of my life Ernie Cavasos, and Ana Laura Ramon.

Avery

Avery is one of my most glamorous designs ever. I see her on a red carpet or parading around at a prom. I named this dress Avery because it seems to me like a name for an insanely beautiful girl. I picture her as the heada turner. The dress is so stunning, I feel like it has the power to make people look twice at her remarkable beauty. I am so proud of this dress as well as my Selena dress because I love how detailed she is and she really captured my vision and what I was going for. Avery is truely special to me I love everything about her.

Avery is inspired by old Hollywood, and by the old Hollywood actors who took glamour to the next level and are still the fashion icons for sexiness and glamour. I give Avery a mermaid style dress because I wanted a simple elegence to her. I was inspired once again by Marilyn Monroe, because he style is striking without being over the top, she could take simplicity to a whole other level. Marilyn also loved to expose her curves so I knew a tight fitted dress would be best for that old Hollywood style. I added sequins throughout the entire dress with pearl over the shoulder sleeves because I was inspired by Elizabeth Taylor's dramatic style, nothing was ever to bold for Elizabeth Taylor. I was inspired by Audrey Hepburn's sweet and soft style and what's sweeter than roses added lightly around the dress. I added a sweetheart neckline because it is timeless and never goes out style much like Grace Kelly's style.I was inspired by the old Hollywood style because it was so sophisticated and feminine. I always liked that style because it's so  classsic and I always try to incorperate that trend into my own style and my designs because it never goes out of style. I also adore the old Hollywood style because it highlights every woman's style and it's so relatable to the average woman. Old Hollywood was all about enhancing each womans' best features and individal style. I think it is so important to have a style that is so uniquely yours and shows off your best self. Style is all about being yourself and choosing clothing that is going to make you feel good. For instance I love wearing a dark lip you will never find me wearing some danity nude lip because I love my lips so I want to enhance them and show them off so I tend to go for bolder colors. Lately I've been wearing the vampy lip and I think it makes me look sultry and for the first time in my life, sexy. However, I have been told that it looks ugly because it's so dark and gothic. I won't stop wearing it though just because of someone else's opinion because it's my best self. My dark lips are my trade mark I love to wear it because it makes me feel beautiful and I don't want to hide myself because I am not confident on how I look. Bottom line, opinions shouldn't matter because everyone has a different one and at the end of the day the only one that matters is your own. Do what makes you happy. If Marilyn Monroe listened to what people thought of her do you think she'd be a big star? No she wouldn't she always did what she wanted which makes her classic and unique. This dress is all about best features. Don't feel like you have to be insecure and can't pull certian things off, I say pick your favorite feature and show it off!

Marilyn Monroe once said "We should all start to live before we get too old. Fear is stupid. So are regrets." So I tell you readers, live for today, love like there is no tomorrow, be bold, and don't ever be afraid of anyones opinion of you. You live for yourself and nobody else. Don't ever second guess your life, goals, or dreams. You will regret it if you don't take opportunities that are given to you, or if you let anyone stop you from achieving your life long goals. Be yourself and live a little take chances. It's all about the big gamble my friends.

Barbra

Hello citizens of Gotham! I am back with another blog post for ya! This weeks dress is Barbra inspired by the famous batgirl. Barbra Gordan was and excuse my langauge but a total badass. She was a librarian by day and side kick to Mr. Batman at night. Barbra was comissioner Gordon's daughter and she wasn't going to let batman have all the fun fighting crime by himself. She is known for her intelligence and fiestiness throught the comics. I guess this is why I chose Barbra as my inspration for my first ever Halloween costume design.

I ain't afraid of no joker! I added a ton of elements to Barbra's costume and I used elements from her actual batgirl suit to stick to the whole batgirl theme. Batgirl's suit is orginally purple and gold even though most of you know batman is remembered for his black suit, relating to the bat. I gave her a turtle neck to hide Barbras's true identity, she wears a mask that gives her disguise so I wanted to disguise the top part of her body. Batgirl has the famous bat symbol on the top so I put a poorly drawn batgirl symbol on the center of the costume. It wouldn't be a batgirl costume without the bat logo. The edgy sleeves were inspired by the triangluar ends of a bats wings, The gloves that Batgirl wears actually are pointy as well which is why I added there so it could look cool and you know be like a little weapon to protect herself from all the villains out there trying to destroy Gotham city. Batgirl has a utility belt in case she needs to get batman out of trouble or save someone from danger, so if she needed it i added it to the waist, again I placed another bat to give her a trademark. Lastly, Barbra was given a big purple tutu because I wanted to feel fun and girly while I wore the costume. Batgirl loves to fight crime and it gives her some sort of excitment in her life and whats more fun than having a double life. It's Halloween, I feel like you can go crazy with the most far fetched idea you've ever had and use it to your advantage. I thought if you can go big go big or go home cause nothing is too much on Halloween. So hey if I want to wear a tutu for Halloween I WILL!  I know Batgirl does not have a tutu but mine does cause she's a super cool chick who knows how to have fun and looks good while fighting crime. I wanted to actually make the costume for you to show you the final look but I've been pretty busy so I just purchased my own Batgirl costume for Halloween.

At the end of the day an anonoymus person once said "Be strong, when you are weak, be brave when you are scared, be humble, when you are victorious, be badass everyday." Be your own hero, be a hero , but don't ever back down and don't ever give up. Have an awesome Halloween folks, and I hope you had fun reading this blog. Enjoy.

Charlotte

Say hello to miss charlotte! Charlotte is beautiful all around... When I look at this dress I instantly feel the charm it brings. Charlotte is sexy and beautiful and when I started drawing her I felt like she was going to be an instant masterpiece in my eyes. I wish this creation of mine would just pop out of the paper so I could wear her whenever I wanted. If I had such a dress in my possession I would wear Charlotte when I wasnted to feel charming and sexy.

The inspiration for Charlotte was on of my favorite characters from Sex In the City. I love Charlotte York's sense of style. I gave Charlotte some colars on top of the dress around the sweet heart neckline because Charlotte York's style is very groomed and proper and she has that white colar look almost rich and extravagant. Charlotte York's style is also very simple you don't have to try so hard to make simpicity beautiful. I added the buttons to the dress because I wanted Charlotte to look very sleek and very Upper East looking where everyone is so prim and well dressed. The buttons bring a more put together look to her. I gave Charlotte a bouncey ruffled ball gown because I wanted to get the whole vintage modern princess look down. To me Charlotte York is the ultimate modern princess of new york, she was so preppy, so sofisticated, and she never liked when everything didn't go perfectly. Bottom line the ultimate perfectionist and like a royal everything must go the queen's way. Charlotte's style is also very soft and feminine and what better way to do feminine than by adding a little floral pattern to the top of the dress. Charlotte York is the perfect mix of all the vintage queens of the 50's/60's like Elizabeth Taylor,Audrey Hepburn, and Jackie O'. I think that's why I adore Charlotte's style and was inspired to do something similar to her style from the show becaue I LOVE these women's styles, because they were so classy and elegant without being over done. I find something so beautiful about the classy style you can't go wrong with wearing a little black dress and some pearls(the perfect outfit.) This dress is the perfect example of how a woman can go from Paris Hilton to a Elizabeth Taylor, you just instantly feel like a ten. I believe fashion is a statement it can change your mood instantly by wearing the perfect pair of pumps, or putting on the right shade of red lipstick. I know that maybe the idea of this dress maybe inspired by a old fashioned Hollywood idols but I wanted to feel as if I stepped into a time machine and brought the classiness of old Hollywood back but also being true to my modern generation.

Charlotte York was an optimistic she belived in the perfect love life and in all that happily ever after idea. She was able to achieve her ultimate goals and dreams in life. I think we all need to be more optimistic. I can't say that I believe in everything, and I can't say there is such a thing as the happily ever after, but we should think more positively and have faith that everything is to fall into place. You can have a little faith by telling yourself that you can do anything that is possiable. Be that type of person that is like yeah I can gradutate next year,  I can pass the test next week, I can get that part in the play. "Si se puede!" You want it go for it, a positive attitude leads to great things. Anonymus says "Put your postive pants on." Or as I like to say be a Charlotte and put on your best face forward.

Madelyn

Madelyn, is the dress of opulence. I created her through a grand vision. She is inspired by so many objects, and ideas. I wanted her to be like a queen of nature. When I pictured a Madelyn in my mind she is the glamorous high class woman. She is the bold one who makes descions without impulse. Madelyn is full of joy, and happiness. I feel like if someone where to wear this dress all heads would be turning towards her. Madelyn is the life of the party. I feel like Madelyn provides some strong look to her. I wanted Madelyn to have tons of charm. I believe to see her as a dress with real charm, and there is nothing like her.

Madelyn's inspirtation was wealth and royalty. I wanted something beyond over the top extreamly detailed and unique. I gave her purple roses throught the dress because you don't see purple roses in nature giving her some uniqueness. I wanted her to be rich in beauty and nauture. I saw her as a woodland nymph a delicate yet powerful creature. Think of Madelyn as the queen of the willies in the classic ballet Giselle. I was inspired by a powerful mythical creature, hence, the flowers and the roses and the grand ball gown. Madelyn contains a lilac colored belt because lilacs symbolize love, also it is one of my favorite colors. I love the softness it gives. I wanted Madelyn to be the classic dress everyone loves and can't get out of their head. Madelyn has layers of daisys because I wanted the dress to look like a flower as a whole and the layers of flowers and tulle give her a petal like look. The daisies are sign of innocence. Madelyn isn't reveling like the few dresses that I have created because I loved the idea of purity. If Madelyn was going to be like the queen of nature I wanted her to be like a pure untouched flower. Madelyn was also inspired by the Virgin Mary because she is the symbolism of grace and purity. I wanted Madelyn to be like the Virgin queen, delicate and graceful but still very powerful and important. Madelyn's inspiration came from the Roman myth of Vertumnus vs, Belides. The myth is a story of a man named Vertumnus falls for a small nymph named Belides. Vertumnus becomes obsessed with Belides, however, Belides does not take intrest in Vertumns so she turns herself into a feild of daisies to prevent herself from hurting Vertumnus's feelings. If Madelyn was an actual nymph I feel like she would be like Belides herself. She would avoid confrontation at all costs in order to keep the peace. Madelyn would do it in the most beautiful way too. Madelyn's layers are green because I wanted her nature vibe to show through. Green symbolizes wealth and growth. Madelyn is like the growth of nature, shes so natural and beautiful.

Since Madelyn was inspired by royalty, I wanted to make you feel royal in your own way. You are your own queen or king. You are in control of your own life. I hope you continue to have pure thoughts, and be graceful. Being a king or queen to me means that you take charge in order to keep peace with others. You are bold in your own life. Anonymus says "Always wear an invisble crown." Even if you aren't an actual king or queen you can still do things in your own way and you can continue to be important gracfully. Take charge without being bossy or mean. Pretend that you have an invisable crown because you are significant. You are speical, and unique, you should always act like it.

Emily

Emily is a very special dress to me. She was insipired by a very special person in my life, who holds the most significance in my heart. Even though Emily isn't my favorite dress that I created she still is memorable to me.

Let's get started before I revel everything in the first paragraph. Emily was inspired by my mother Nelda. I know it seems silly that I didn't name the dress after her however, every detail is her. I didn't have any reason to name her Emily,  I just looked at it and said "she looks like an Emily" and that was enough reason to name her Emily. I gave Emily what I call simple drama detail. The flowers make it dramtic but the color of the dress tones it down keeping her more simple and beautiful. This keeps the dress from being overdone. The details that are my mother, are the design of the dress, the colors, and the flowered details. When I think of my mother I look at her style as beautiful, conservative, and she's not afraid of pattern. Which is why I made Emily conservative with the sleeve cut at the top trying to hide the sweetheart neckline. I added the creame color for the entire dress because my mom wears alot of neautrals and it looks beautiful on her! I know light cream colors don't look good on everyone not even me. My mom has gorgeous porcelain skin the opposite of my deep tan skin and therefore, this cream color would amazing on her. So the color of the dress had to work well with her sweet snow white skin. I added the purple flowers because purple is her favorite color and there's a lot of flowers throught the dress because like I said she loves her patterns. When going through my sketch book my mom found the dress and was in love with it! Little did she know that she was my inspiration for the dress. I spent lots of time when I was little shopping with my mom, so it was easy to figure out her style right away. In a way my mom also is the reason why I fell so in love with clothes and fashion because she would always take me to what she and I call "girl day." Looking at all the clothes in my younger years  fashion has been my life since then. It also gave me an eye for art. My mom has influenced my artistic side from the beginning of my life, she often took me to plays, art museums, libararies, and bought all my sketch books and crayons. I couldn't be more thankful to have a mother like her who showed me the world through art. She has given me the ability to see things in a different light. She has never given up on me and my dreams. She has always encouraged me to keep going, even when I struggled in school. I'm so glad she opened so many doors for me and guided me towards who I wanted to be, and towards who I am now. Thank you mom for making my world sparkle and shine!

So since this whole entire post was about my mother, I want all of you readers to go out there and hug your mothers and tell her how special she is! I know I'm not the only one with a special mom. If you look around everyone's mother has made an impact on their life. If your mom inspires you to become a nurse, or a lawyer, or even if she inspires you to be a better woman or man, or even makes you realize your true potiental, a mother will always have an impact on you. My mom is my role model and I am proud to be her daughter. So for those of you out there remember this about your mother "It takes someone really brave to be a mother, someone strong to raise a child and someone special to love someone more than herself."- anonumous. Thank you again mothers, for being brave, strong, and loving us unconditionally.

Aria

ARIA. Aria is like my beloved child. I made Aria with lots of love and lots of thought. I love her beauty and simplicity. There's something so magical to her. I can't say that I named Aria a specific name cause it wasn't very hard to think about her. In my deepest thought I looked at Aria almost as if Aria was my own baby. If I were to have a child in all honesty she would be named Aria, and so therefore I just gave her this name just because it sounded so beautiful. There was a lot of playfulness to her as well almost childlike but still very sophisticated at the same time.

Aria's inspiration didn't come from much. I got inspired by the fairytale Alice in wonderland. I didn't necessary get inspired by the characters but rather the whimsicality of the story. I gave Aria a fun mauve/ fuchsia color keeping her uniqueness just like the original fairytale. I wanted to give her a fun beaded bodice with lace to add on some magic to it. To me Aria is a mystical princess intrapped in a strange land like Wonderland, Therefore I gave her a big ballgown because when you think of a princess you think of a ballgown right? Aria also comes with butterflies because in the magical tale of Alice in wonderland there are creatures who are breaded butterflies, hence the reason why the butterflies that are a little bronze gold. Like I said earlier Aria was given child playfulness as well with the butterflies, I was also inspired by a small childhood memory when I'd run around in my back yard trying to catch butterflies, I had become so in love with butterflies since then. Every now and then I would throw in butterflies into my drawings because there is something so beautiful about butterflies, each one unique with it's own color of wings. My other inspiration for Aria was Cinderella. I was watching 2015's Cinderella movie and I realized that the butterfly was placed like a symbol throught the movie like the iconic slippers, and dress. Cinderella's parents also had butterflies throught the house, and in begining of the movie Cinderella's father had given young Cinderella a paper butterfly as a gift in which she kept until she was a grown adult. I gave Aria's butterflies different sizes because butterflies symbolize growth and transformations. As human beings we go through transformations of life we start off as innocent children like Alice and grow to be adults on a path to our destination. Aria brings out the child in me, in many ways I grew up to believe in the beauty in all things, even when our idea of beauty changes through life. To me Aria symbolizes time, in time everything changes and we have to grow up, and become who we were meant to be. Time is everything, time is precious. I cherish my childhood chasing butterflies in my back yard and lying in the grass wondering about what my future was going to be like. I guess you could say I lived in a fantasy life believing in fairytales like Cinderella, knights in shinning armors, princes, castles, mermaids, and magical lands like Wonderland. However like the butterfly my state of mind changed and I realized we make our own fairytales, princes no longer exsist, we are own knight and shinning armors, mermaids are just the fish in the sea, you have to work for your own dream castles,  Wonderland is just place you go to when your fast asleep, and happily ever after exsists once you become truely happy with your own life.

So my dear readers Aria is the reflection for my past, present and future. I hope you can open up your eyes today and make your own fairytales come true. Stay true to who you are and don't forget about your own innerchild, because that child inside of you can unleash the most beautiful things in your heart. Take your time with your dreams because it's worth it. Today my inner child is proud of me because her fairytale is almost falling into place, she is in college and is one year away till she graduates, she is close to happily ever after on her way to her true destination and on her way to her dream castle. Anonymus author says "Wake up early. Drink coffee. Work hard. Be ambitious. Keep your Priorites straight, your mind right and your head up. Do well, live well and dress really well. Do what you love, love what you do. It is time to start living." Be this quote and you can never go wrong.

selena

SELENA....My ultimate favorite dress that I have ever drawn. I love everything about this dress, and put every little detail into consideration. I did give Selena some color but I choose to keep the image before she was colored because I felt like there was some beauty to the dress. I wanted to keep her pure and untouched.

Ok! lets start talking about Selenas inspiration. I think its all fairly obvious who shes inspired by...Selena Quintanilla-Perez. For those of you reading who don't know who she is, she is the queen of tejano music. She not only was she a singer she was a songwriter, actress, spokes person, and of corse fashion designer. Since I was little Selena was my idol! She died before I was born but I was obsessed with the movie starring Jenifer Lopez. I wanted to be just like Selena I wanted to sing and dance, and make dresses. In all honesty she is the reason why this whole thing started. I not only love Selena but I feel like she and I have a ton of similarites in common, she was dreamer, just like I, a lover of fashion, and a hopeless romantic. So this one is for Selena.

I got the idea of the dress from the fashion show Selena has, in the movie. I also did a little research on her clothing and all the things and outfits she designed for herself. Selena was bold she wasn't scared of taking risks and I certainly took no risks with this one here. I gave Selena a beaded top with intricate details at the top because I felt like Selena would of done the same with her own fashion line. I didn't want to just keep it simple on the top I wanted to continue the drama till the very end so I gave her some massive flowers from top to bottom surrounded by rinestones. I added flowers again keeping it towards my own personal style as well cause it is my own masterpiece too. I do tend to wear flowers no matter what season it is. The roses were also a hint of Selena's and mines Hispanic heritage. I associate red roses with Mexico for some reason because it reminds me of the passion and romance that Mexico contains. There are flowers on the bottom again with beaded embelishments because I didn't want Selena to be simple. The colors I originally colored Selena were green and red Mexico's flag colors again keeping it with that Hispanic romantic idea. Selena to me was like drawing a dream come true, when I look at this dress I am reminded of who I am and who I want to be and to always keep the passion alive. From the words of Selena Quintanilla "If you have a dream, don't anyone take it away, and always believe that the impossiable is always possiable." So to my readers out there keep your dreams, fight for it, and believe in yourself. You can make the impossiable happen if you just take risks just like I did with this dress. Go out andd find yourself and make yourself happy.

Ava

Let's talk Ava! She is the diva, the star of the show, and maybe one of my favorites of all of my dresses. Ava was given the name Ava because Ava to me seems like the fiesty woman who fights for what she wants. She is the goal, the dream you dream upon. It seemed like a strong powerful name to me, which is why I gave it to her cause this dress symbolizes strength and ambition.

Ava was inspired to me by a certain person and things. First of all she was inspired by the beautiful Marilyn Monroe. I remember sitting on the couch one weekend and watching "The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe." Alot of people could took the message of the movie as seeing Marilyn as a harlot because she had so many lovers, and basically worked her way to the top by using that to her advantage. However, I saw the message as work hard for what you want and never let go of your dreams, and never let anyone take that away from you. Marilyn wanted to make her dream to be a big movie star come true. She wanted it so badly as a kid and was dissappointed when everyone including her husband told her it couldn't be done. Of corse, avoiding their advice she went on her way to pursue her dreams in Hollywood. Her life was ruff and the men in her life didn't make it easy and they all belittled her, but like all Hollywood stars she held her head up high in eye of the press and kept it classy. I wanted my dress to be like Marilyn Monroe Sexy, and classy. The second thing that inspired me was old Hollywood, because it was so glamorous, bold, and sophisticated. Ava to  me is like a red carpet dress.

Ava's structure is made up of pearls, and glamous rinestones. I gave her pearls on the side of the arms like sleeves giving her a more of and old Hollywood glamor appeal(again going for that old 1950's 1960's look.) When I think of pearls I think of the 1960's and how owning a pearl neacklace meant you were a sophisticated woman. I also wanted Ava to be sexy yet not to over exposed cause I don't like that look for some reason. I believe you should show skin, but also keep the mystery as well, so I gave her a mesh cleavage exposure in the middle of the dress with rinestones in the middle keeping it glitzy still. I wanted to give her a slit to the side of the dress to show a little leg keeping that boldness in the dress. I added ruffles because I felt like keeping it playful and fun. Finally, I colored her yellow because, yellow to me is a daring and exciting. I wouldn't be able to pull off yellow, you'd hardly see me wearing it, which is why I choose it for Ava. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to be bold and beautiful like Ava and Marilyn Monroe. GO FOR YOUR DREAMS AND MAKE THEM HAPPEN! Most importantly work hard, like Marilyn Monroe says "Look like a girl, act like a lady, think like a man, and work like a boss."

Paisley

Paisley isnt't the actual idea of what you thought she would look like. I know the proper term is "a pattern of curved feather like figures."- google. And as you can see there is nothing like that on this dress. She is quite plain actually. The name did catch my eye though because it reminded me of a bubbly fun person. Which is how I wanted to present Paisley. If my dresses were actually existant in some world I'd always would picture this dress in a fashion shoot where there are bright and colorful balloons and a girl in this dress with a smile on her face having fun with this dress.

The term of Paisley means feathered curved figures and in a way this Paisley dress symbolizes the free spirited part of me that I've been dying to unleash. I wanted Paisley to capture the fun wild side. I also wanted her to bring out the confidence and happiness to anyone who ever wears her. Again I got my inspriration of  Paisley from my own style. I gave her a giant bow for boldness and to give her a more feminine touch. It's not completely inspired by my own fashion tastes, It's also inspired by my own alter ego. I know it sounds crazy to some and no I dont pretend to be someone that I'm not. It's just the person that I wish I could be on the inside and out. I'm actually the opposite of  Paisley shy, unconfident, afraid to step out my own comfort zone, and definitely NOT FREEE-SPIRITED! I also gave her a tutu like skirt at the end because I was trying to channel the girly side once again along with the ballerina. Since I'm a dancer I always get inspired by ballet costumes that I have previously worn or what I have seen In ballets, or costumes on pintrest. When your a dancer you get inspired through art and culture, and inspiration is all around you. Even a piece of a flower petal could inspired you to draw a dress or create a dance involving costumes with flowers. I gave Paisley a fun and bright orange because the dress itself is fun. I mean you got a giant bow, who doesn't like bows? and then you got a tutu and I know about half of you who read this know that in the back their head always wanted to be a ballerina at some point. I know I did! I wanted Paisley to give off the power of confidence, weather you have it or not, I want you to have it just for a day. Fashion can be like a super power. You can have the super power to define who you are, the super power to transform yourself, and the super powere to have confidence and be bold.

So if you think about it, I sort of gave you the secret to enjoying life. Readers I want you to do me a favor today, No I want you to do me a couple of favors today. One look at something and get inspired . It can be anything nature, people, movies, books, art, or culture. After you have found your inspiration get ideas and think out of the box. Become an artist, and then come tell me if my advice worked. The second thing I want you to do is put on a piece of clothing, perferably something that is your favorite and see if you find something that makes you feel like you have a super power that I talked about. I want you to go out and change the world. I want you to go out and change your world and your attitudes. Find something that makes you smile and makes you feel invincible. That's why I draw because it makes me feel happy when I feel down, it insipires me, and I suddenly have a super power. Oh the power of paisley.

Cora

Hey guys for those of you who don't know me I am an artist that likes to draw dresses 24/7. Just kidding. I draw on a daily basis espesically when I'm inspried by my surroundings or people, things, and even my dreams. I know I promised to talk about Cora but since this is my first post I wanted to kick it off with what these dressses mean to me and how I got started with this crazy hobby.

When I was younger I loved to draw I wasn't very good but hey what child is an artist at first. I had so many dreams about being an author and illustrator when I was in kindergarden so I started drawing pictures. Mostly of princesses since I LOVE  fariy tales. I was always drawing for my aunt and she'd always tell me that they we're beautiful so I never stopped. Eventually, like all career dreams mine changed once I got to middle school. I wanted to be a fashion designer and wanted to go to art school. sadly, when it came time to apply for colleges my parents couldn't send me to the art school because it was too pricey and being a fashion designer wasn't a practical career. Discouraged I stopped drawing all together cause it wasn't going to happen. That is until my boyfriend bought me a sketch book and wanted me to start drawing again because he saw how happy he made me. Since then I haven't been able to stop drawing I even became more open about it and started posting on social media and showing my family. I got tons of requests to design wedding gowns and quincenera dresses from members of my family. It's crazy to think all this started back when I was a five year old girl dreaming of the world.

So lets begin! First off I name all my dresses because their like my own little dolls, or babies. Each one is carefully thought out from color to name, to design. This little doll is named Cora. It first started out like a wedding dress white, and pure. I wanted it to have some sexiness along with it making Cora more form fitting, yet a little girly. So I made Cora with ruffled detailing and I gave her a little bow belt. When I showed my boyfriend he suggested that Cora have a little more color since it wasn't regal like a wedding dress should be... MEN! Taking his opinion I colored Cora pink. In a way Cora's design was similar to my own style. She is simple yet girly kind of like my style, hence the bow. If you knew me you'd know that I absolutely adore bows. I also find the similarity to my style with the pink since pink is my favorite color. I decided to name her Cora because I felt like the same was bold yet simple at the same time. I also got inspired by one of the episodes in Once Upon a Time by a character named Cora. It was an episode called The Millers Daughter.  A young daughter of a drunken miller started out as an innocent girl wanting to become royal because the elite treated her terriably and her home life style was awful. She wore this red dress and crashed a ball to become the princes suitor. This dress inspired me and no the dresses are not technically the same but the story and the fashion spoke to me. Thus, Cora was born.
