Claire of Hearts

      Here there poker faces, I'm back with another fab. dress for you....Introducing the Queen......Claire of Hearts. All Hail the Queen. I'm taking you guys to another trip to the land of hearts, where this time the queen is in charge. I wanted to do something quite insane today and Claire has it! I want you to lose your mind when you see this beautiful dress and how it was inspired and created specifically to be unique and to capture one of my favorite characters in the Wonderland story. "Be careful how you play your cards when you have a queen in your hand." 

We all have a little Queen of Hearts in us. Even though some of us don't want to admit it we all have lost our temper at some point or another, I know I have! I tend to get easily annoyed so I can see where the queen is coming from. No I don't want to do anything violent to anyone who annoys me but I did want to replicate her outrageous fashion. I used my imagination and gave the queen an official name other than what the characters call her in Wonderland which is the Queen of hearts. In my version of Wonderland the queen was refered to as Claire, but she prefers her subjects to call her Queen of Hearts because she loves to manipulate her subjects in to getting exactly what she wants, and if she doesn't she cuts thier heads off. I love the sassiness of the queen and I wanted to incorperate that into Claires dress by adding a two sided dress design one half is hearts, and the other half is black. I still wanted to stay true to the queens style but with a touch of flare. I added a white heart belt because she is the queen of hearts of corse. I wanted to give her a bit of an edge so I did a mullet dress kind of style I wanted her to have a short skirt in the front and a long train in the back because she's a queen that you don't want to mess with. I can picture the queen to run around in this crazy dramatic dress playing croquet and making everyone in the kingdom fear her. It's not good to be short tempered or as violent as the queen is but it is important to stand your guard for what you want, even if it means you have to be a little bossy and be leader. I myself tend to be a little bossy but only because I'm a bit of a perfectionist and I want everything to look as so, and I believe that you should never settle for what you really want. I know that I continue going back to wonderland but as I have said in previous blog posts I LOVE fairytales so that plays a major role in my imagination and designs, So I hope I don't bore you with all of it. I always try to bring something new to the table with a twist for a bit more flavor. 

Slim Phatty said, "Yes girl, you're a Queen and you deserve to be treated like one." This is for all my queens out there, never let anyone treat you less then you deserve, if anyone knocks you don't get up pick up your crown, and say "good for you for being so insecure that you had to knock someone down for it." Jealousy is ugly ladies and anyone who tries to tear you apart is just intimitated by how truely amazing you really are. Because remember your the queen and what you say goes. All queens must be strong so be strong enough to pick yourself up when you fall because your enemies will love to see you fall. We must show them that they are wrong. Your a dimond and whoever says so otherwise is a rock. 

Sarah

                Hello my fellow readers! I brought you guys something sweet this week and it's my new            dress Sarah. This dress has to be the most fun dress that I've had the pleasure of creating. I really       hope you enjoy my dessert for the day. 

 

               Sarah was inspired by cousin Sarah. She has such a bold taste in clothing. Sure she loves simple clothing but when it comes to costuming she isn't afraid to go out of the box. Honestly, She puts her costuming style to a whole other level, almost as if you were placed in another world. She is so creative, and you all know me I go bold or I go home. When it comes to my designs I love putting your imagination to the test. I love recreating the idea of something. I think that's why I love watching movies so much because for me its's all about studying the  designers fashion pieces. I love what other designers use for thier costuming inspiration. What made them use the color red for a certain character?  Was it purely a color preference or was it based on the characters personality? I too use my designs based on personality and what the person is really like. For instance with this Sarah dress I based it on her very unique and fun personality. She loves to have fun and she herself is a very funny person. A genuine character. I made this dress to look like a cupcake because Sarah is obsessed with cupcakes so I designed a cupcake shoulder and a bodice with a cupcake illusion I created sprinkles on the top and added the color pink because it's Sarah's favorite color and hello what is more fun than the color pink, plus it is very girly. Sarah has a very girly style so I gave the dress a big fat bow in the back for a girly edge. The bottom was designed to look like the cupcake cup and I wanted a lot of color to make it stand out more. I was also inspired by Katy Perry's outrageous costumes and style, I think she has a bold, girly, fun style. She is always such a character on stage. I aspire to that because I hope to have a bold charisma , to be able to light up a room as I walk in. I think we should all want to have a cool, confident personality. Confidence is key my friends be confident and be you, and if others don't like it then they can kiss your behind.

              Anonymous says, "Work hard, stay sweet, trust God, love deep." So I will leave you with this note if you work hard you can achieve anything, nothing is out of your reach. Stay sweet because you never know what opportunities that will knock on your door with kindness. Trust God because he created you and he is always working on your story just like I work on these stories. And most importantly love deeply with anyone and everyone because as I have said in many previous blogs it's important. I hope your day is sweet, Love Dani.

Ana

                       


                     Hey there folks, me again. We're taking a wonderful adventure to a place that's a second star to the right and straight on til morning. That's right we're going to Neverland. So let's set sail.

      So the inspiration for this gorgeous dream dress was my wonderful friend Ana. She is a child at heart with an obsession for Tinkerbell. I thought that to recreate a Tinkerbell inspired dress would be genius. I make the top to look like Tink's triangular bottom skirt almost giving the dress a leaf like look. In the middle of the bodice I supplied heavy giant rinestones to add a sparkly magical effect. The rest of the bodice has tinier rinestones to give the illusion that the dress is covered in pixie dust. I added a green bow for a more girly effect. The tulle skirt was added to Ana for some drama because as we all know Tinkerbell was known for causing some drama herself. All in all this dress was created for some good fun. It's fun to be taken to another level of imagination.

Peter Pan says "Never say goodbye because saying goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting." Never forget about the inner child within you. I hope your days are happy and blissful and you always run towards your imagination. Most importantly never forget your friends. Don't ever say goodbye to the friends who are there for you through thick and thin, the friends who still bring out the child in you. I love this dress it is one of my favorites because it was so fun to give an imaginary character an image even though she already had an image but at least you can see her through my eyes. I'm forever blessed to have an amazing friend who brought this to my imagination. I won't forget you my friend.

Arnetta

        Hey readers, I thought I'd kick off the new year with a cherished dress that I drew in loving memory of my grandfather Armando Gonzalez. I know some of you may find this blog piece a little dull and some what depressing but bare with me I promise I will make it as lively as I can,

       Arnetta was inspired to me by my grandfather because I always looked towards him as someone he wanted to be proud of. I always dreamed that he would defeat his cancer but unfortunately he didn't get to live out his days and see his grandchildren succeed but he fought really hard. Which is why I am choosing to continue this new year with this dress. It is my masterpiece to him. On his last few months he got to see the passion in my eyes as I showed him my designs in his words he asked why I didn't go to school for fashion design. I explained to him that design school would be too expensive and I had to put it off for a real career. It meant a lot to me that he was so proud of my success at school and in my passions in life. It was heartbreaking to see him go and to watch him stuggle at the end of his journey. I just know that now he is smiling with the angels because he is no longer suffering and even though we miss him very much he will always be remembered as the anchor of our family, a man of many talents, and wisdom. I named the dress Arnetta because Arnetta is the female version of my grandpa's name. I gave Arnetta a red dress because red represents love and passion. I saw many versions of my grandfather before he passed away and I got to see the loving father, husband, and grandfather he really was. Even when I had to create his funeral video I saw the love he had for each of his family members, he loved us all equally and he loved to see us talk to us and make us laugh he showed me the true meaning of love. Love isn't what you see on tv or read in the books love is the love you have for someone even when you know your about to lose them. Love is family, love is being unselfish, love is kindness towards one another even when your mad, and love is taking risks even when it costs you a lot. My grandpa had all the love that anyone could of asked for. I also choose red because it represents passion he was passionate about music, carpentry, teaching, God, farming, and cars. I never knew a person with so much passion for so many things. I believe we must all have a passion for something because it makes the world go round. If you are passionate about something do it give your all into it, and don't give up. I also gave Arnetta a ribbon because it represents cancer. Cancer is such an ugly illness and I wish we could do anything to find a cure for it, but for those people who have lost loved ones, or have loved ones with it, or are struggling with cancer, this post is dedicated to you. I hope you are strong enough to fight it and strong enough to go on with your life as much as possiable because life goes by so quickly and it's extreamly short but you must keep on going as if today was your last day. We must always be hopeful. I also gave the dress some yellow to represent happiness, I hope that through times of struggle you find happiness. I hope that where ever my grandpa is I hope he is smiling at us with happiness that he left on good grace, and that we all made him happy with the time that he spent with us and happiness for the joy he will see in our lives. I want to contiune this new year with a strong mind and heart, I want to love fiercely and live passionately.

Remember readers the ones you love are always with you everyday a little piece of them is always with you. To my grandpa you will always be in my memory everyday and that will never go away. Thank you for the time we shared the memories you gave me and the wisdom you bestowed on me. I hope you get to watch me as I go on with my life and graduate, get married, and see your future grandchildren. I know you will always be with me in my heart. I love you miss you and will see you someday.
